In the morning we teach English through EFL (English as a Foreign Language) lessons based on small groups of average 7 students of the same age and same level (max. 10) and in the afternoon, we teach skills in English through workshops.

The Academic Programme is at the heart of the LINES experience. At LINES, we are proud to offer students access to some of the finest learning facilities, with modern classrooms and fully qualified and experienced teachers who have a passion for bringing language to life.

General English

4 Lessons/day

General English lessons where students are grouped based on their age and level. Our classes have a maximum of 10 students and focus on improving the following language skills:

  • Speaking: fluency & pronunciation
  • Listening, Reading & Writing: to support fluency
  • Grammar: Consolidation & opportunity to practice
  • New vocabulary Reviews
  • A Friday Language Test: to assess learning progress & level

Masterclasses

In Queenswood,

students will learn English through personal, social and entrepreneurial skills. Our Skills classes are larger than our General English classes to enable more discussion, interaction and team building.

In Valbonne,

workshops are a very important part of the LINES experience. 2 sessions of 45 minutes each are dedicated to workshops daily. They provide active learning experience where students can interact and communicate using the French language.

Students will undertake their chosen workshop for a period of 1 week, after which they can change.

Workshops will be selected on site.

Exercise is a key component of a healthy mind. LINES offer a Professional Sports coaching programme for you to improve your skills, health and fitness!

Pro Sports is for beginners and experienced students alike to gain confidence and enjoy their sport!

A lesson on the move!

A day out to a destination of historical or cultural importance, linked to the learning Theme of the Week. Students go with their class and teacher for the day and complete language learning activities that have been set for them during excursion preparation.

UK – Oxford, Buckingham Palace, Tower of London, Cambridge, Warwick Castle, London Zoo, The Shard, Bletchley Park, Silverstone, etc.

FR – Nice, Grasse, St. Tropez, etc.

Exploring & Having Fun!

Saturday means fun!

We visit some of London’s (UK) or the Côte d’Azur’s top tourist attractions, including Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Nice and Monaco followed by an opportunity for students to shop till they drop in some of London’s most famous shopping areas like Covent Garden, Westfield and Oxford Street.

West End Musical Experience!*

A visit to London’s West End by night to experience its vibrant street culture, bright lights, hustle and bustle and enjoy some of the best Musical stage productions in the world is an experience not to be missed!

We book the tickets, transport and dinner, all you do is enjoy this amazing experience! Musicals such as: Matilda, Lion King, Wicked, etc. The West End Musical Experience always proves very popular: book during enrolment to avoid disappointment!
